On January 20 and 21, 2009, THE PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION CONFERENCE AND VIP BALL were produced by Equity International, Inc., America’s premier facilitator of solutions since 1995.

We help facilitate solutions in areas of critical importance by bringing together top leaders to identify and implement new ideas. We have extensive experience in many of the priority areas of the Obama Administration and the current Congress.

Infrastructure Development: We have facilitated the development of roads, bridges, buildings, telecommunications, energy infrastructure, and schools following natural disasters in the United States and in the aftermath of wars and natural disasters around the world.

Job Creation: We have helped thousands of people identify new jobs in clean energy, sustainability, homeland security, defense, disaster preparedness, and reconstruction.

Healthcare: We have helped corporations and other institutions implement wellness programs for their employees.

Energy Security: In June of 2007, we organized and hosted The Washington Energy Briefing, providing the latest information from top leaders on Congressional legislation and federal programs addressing energy solutions. Speakers included Congressional leaders, U.S. Department of Energy officials, and industry executives. The Keynote Address was provided by U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, a member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.

Clean Energy/Climate Change/Sustainability: In 2008, Equity International served as a major Organizing Partner for The Washington International Renewable Energy Conference (WIREC), held in Washington March 3 – 6, 2008. The largest renewable energy conference and exposition ever held in the U.S. featured more than 8,600 participants from more than 119 countries, hundreds of speakers at both the ministerial and the trade show conference, more than 80 official side events, and a packed exhibition with 246 exhibitors and 11 international pavilions. Major sponsors included BP, GE, Volvo, Brookfield Power, Good Energies, Renewable Capital, Chevron, GM, UNICA, Covanta Energy, Vestas, and Stoel Rives. President George W. Bush was the Keynote Speaker. Participants confirmed more than 100 pledges of action to advance renewable energy in the U.S. and worldwide. We were also a co-organizer of a major Congressional renewable energy reception on Capitol Hill, attended by more than 400 Congressional and renewable energy leaders.

Foreign Affairs: In 2005, we helped strengthen U.S.-Russian relations by developing the first U.S. Homeland Security Trade Mission to Russia, Congressionally-led and hosted by the Russian Duma. Equity International President William Loiry was an inaugural 2005 member of the Clinton Global Initiative and is a current member of the Clinton Global Initiative with a focus on Energy and Climate Change. Loiry was also a U.S. Delegate to the Club of Rome's international conference in Madrid in 2005 and was a U.S. Delegate to the World Economic Forum’s Extraordinary Annual Meeting on the Dead Sea in Jordan in 2003.

Defense: We have worked with the Department of Defense in facilitating solutions for domestic homeland defense and overseas reconstruction. In 2009, we will be working with the Department of Defense in facilitating solutions for alternative fuels and green facilities.

Homeland and Global Security: More than 15,000 government and business leaders have participated in our Washington forums on emergency communications, port and border security, transportation security, infrastructure security, cyberterrorism, and biodefense. Then-U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge keynoted our 2004 Homeland & Global Security Summit.

Critical Resources: Through our work in international relief, reconstruction, and disaster response, we have championed the causes of children, clean water, clean energy, available medicine, adequate food, and emergency shelter.

Children/Education: Equity International President Willliam Loiry has had a long history in advocating quality education and other resources for children, working with groups ranging from the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial to the Florida Center For Children & Youth.
